A New Era of Public Health: Filling Gaps Left by Federal Health Cuts

With recent cuts to vital federal health programs, it is becoming evident that local Health Departments and Boards of Health will be called upon for dependable guidance—especially when it comes to mental health services and emergency preparedness.

I’m committed to ensuring that our community remains resilient and prepared, whether that means expanding support for local organizations like the Marblehead Counseling Center or ensuring we’re ready for the next public health crisis, whether it’s a pandemic or a natural disaster.

The cuts to federal health programs mean that Marblehead needs to be more proactive than ever. I’ll work to strengthen local health services, ensure that our town is prepared for future challenges, and foster an environment of community care.
